—that my sister made. I love it! :)

Gorgeous home of Kaisa. I’m eternally in love with old architecture and furniture. But it always gets even better when you add something new…

I found this awesome tea-bag textile design idea in a art academy degree show – love it!

I’m so happy to finally introduce some of my favourite places in the world to you. These three are from Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.

1. iBerry (the best coffee shop/gelatteria/bakery/hang out place ever!) 2. an art gallery without name (young artists exhibiting outdoors and runing a little coffee/tea shop next to it) 3. awesome asian kitch shop in one of the design streets of CM, out of Nimmenheiman.

I’m doing a world view school now and learning lots about eastern world view as well, that helps me to reanalyze some stuff that I experienced while living in Thailand. I love this school! I hope that in the mist of the studies and work I can also get back to blogging and doing some art stuff. I still have lots of pictures to enjoy and share from the past months and a year really… so old stuff is coming too. These are from Thailand. I miss Chiang Mai.

::::OPEN your MIND::::: so I’m super happy for the change to take some time OUT and to process some of the stuff I have experienced in the past months. It’s so important, to open your mind – not only your eyes. And that takes time you know…

Also I have moved places so I will be posting soon pics of my new room. Here is some inspiration I have had and done…

Hi, I’m Back from riding my lovely bicycle  around and outside of Chiang Mai with my dad who was here for two weeks. Fun!  Here is a cool shop/guesthouse/bar that was painted by a local art/design group called ‘HappyFriday’. Check out more of their work and this project on their blog:  http://www.happyfridayyy.com/blog/?p=269

So there is a tall palm tree that grows through the bar from the basement to the shop upstairs… an interesting use of materials and a mix of cute chairs and plants. Don’t you want to start drawing your own guest house layout already?

It’s hard to even try to start capturing the beauty of detail, rhythm and vibrancy of colour in Lanna (or Northern Thai) arts and crafts! I’m inspired for ever. And the winking doggy was a friendly one.

I don’t know what to buy there though… It’s just SO cute!! And you can see that I had a hard time choosing the pictures for this post.

Here are some fun work from a Thai artist (I’m so sorry but to my shame I forgot his name!). He studied in Scandinavia and learnt to make “practical” art – stuff that you can wear or use. I love his colours and shapes.
